The Pyramids of Giza, towering over the Egyptian sands for millennia, remain some of humanity’s most awe-inspiring architectural feats. Constructed with massive limestone blocks, precise alignments, and mysterious engineering, these ancient wonders have endured time and elements. This competition invites you to draw from their monumental legacy, reimagining the pyramid as a modern AirBnB retreat. Fuse history, art, and hospitality to create a design that’s as timeless as it is inviting.

Competition Guidelines:

Objective:

Design an Egyptian pyramid themed luxury AirBnB with a main building that is shaped like a pyramid.

AirBnB design requirements:

The pyramid building must be an equal sided pyramid, not an A-frame or something else.

Building must be large enough to take a King size bed with ample room surrounding it.

Internally, it can have separating walls.

Hot tub outside, or combination hot tub and cool pool.

Shaded area outside to escape the Sun. A retractable sun shade would be best.

Outside covered Grill and kitchen area.

Gas fire pit.

Toilet and shower (can be inside or outside).

Surrounding area must be private with stone walls or vegetation for privacy.

One side should have plants for a natural feel.

Make it Instagram-able!

Construction requirements:

The pyramid building must be buildable and not too expensive.

Material must be limestone blocks.

Limit the number of openings, because they will require additional engineering and costs.

Criteria:

Design:
Pyramid Form: Does the design reflect the iconic shape and proportions of ancient pyramids?
Functionality: Is the layout practical for an AirBnB stay (e.g., sleeping, living, and access areas)?
Cultural Nod: Are elements inspired by Egyptian aesthetics (e.g., symmetry, grandeur) incorporated?
Authentic Vibe: Does it evoke the majestic, timeless feel of the Pyramids of Giza?

Visual Impact:
Creativity: Does the design stand out with unique features, layouts, or modern twists?
Finish Quality: Are materials and textures (e.g., stone, glass, or metal) styled for aesthetic appeal?
Overall Wow Factor: Does it captivate guests and inspire awe at first sight? Is it Instagram-able?

Engineering and Construction:
Engineering: Is the design of the building structurally sound?
Construction Cost: The total cost of construction must not be too expensive.

Submissions:

Generate at least 15 photo-realistic images of your design. Include views from outside and inside the pyramid.
Create a 3D model of the AirBnB layout and building.
